First Erasmus+ meeting in Bulgaria



Meeting in Bulgaria ( 23 rd - 27 th NOVEMBER 2015 )
       On November 22nd – 28th Kaltinėnai Aleksandras Stulginskis gymnasium representatives of Erasmus+ mobility project was taking part in Bulgaria. In this trip our team representatives were Lukas Čerkauskas, Mantas Bartkus, Robertas Baltutis, history teacher Laima Baltutienė and gymnasium headmaster Virginijus Andrejauskas. Meeting lasted for one week. The meeting took part in the city of Velingrad, which has 24 thousands inhabitants, Vasil Levski gymnasium. On Monday there was official opening ceremony of “Multilingualism and Work Perspectives in Europe” project. After greeting, students set of for the first educational trip “Get to know the city of Velingrad”. Meanwhile, the teachers met with the gymnasium environment, teaching process, educational programs. After meeting Velingrad city students went to IT classes and had to prepare presentations about the tasks performed that day and represent them to the auditory. In the evening Bulgarians organized a great welcome party, where we danced and learnt traditional Bulgarian dances. On Tuesday we went on a sightseeing trip to the city of Pazardžik. The project theme is to get to know about labor market and job perspectives in Europe, we visited “DS Smith” paper factory, where we found out about paper manufacture, recycling, and job specifics. After that we travelled to the city of Plovdiv, which is the second largest city in Bulgaria having cultural and economic meaning. We visited Plovdiv old town, roman amphitheater which is in good condition and protected as a cultural object. On Wednesday all activities took part at school. In the beginning we listened to lectures how to achieve professional career, what personality characteristics are needed and valued by employers. After that, every partner country made presentations about labor market in their countries; students filled Europass mobility documents, containing information about gained international professional experience in learning, studying, internship or participation of the working practices. After lunch we participated in CLIL lessons, where we did a variety of tasks. Kaltinėnai Aleksandras Stulginskis gymnasium students conducted CLIL lesson about IT sector in Lithuania, during which students made tasks using Apps. On Thursday we visited Tsari Mali Grad fortress, which is first fully renovated roman fortress in Bulgaria, Rila monastery, which is the biggest and the most famous East Orthodox monastery in Bulgaria. Rila monastery is one of the most important cultural, historical and architecture monuments in Bulgaria. Rila monastery is included in UNESCO World Heritage list. On Friday we visited handmade carpet factory. This factory carpets are loved by a lot of famous people, such as Prince Charles and Queen Elizabeth II of England. In the afternoon Vasil Levski gymnasium headmaster expressed gratitude and presented first international visit certificates, welcomed a beautiful international friendship and cooperation  which is possible because of Erasmus+ project. In the evening we had farewell party, which only strengthened the desire to communicate and cooperate. We said goodbye until next meeting in Greece! In this journey we have experienced a lot of excitement; we learned a lot of interesting things and made new friends.
